Each birth is unique and awe inspiring. Birth Transforms everyone in the family - mothers, parents and siblings. Make  massage a regular part of your life and experience the benefits of pregnancy & postpartum massage for you and your baby.  Research has shown that massage during pregnancy, birth and postpartum helps mom adapt more easily to her rapidly changing body and minimizes the discomforts and complications of pregnancy.  Jump start bonding with your baby by taking a Parent - Infant Massage class.  Having a Prenatal Parent - Infant Massage class during pregnancy gives you one more tool to care and bond with your baby Right from the Start.  Classes are also available with baby and older children up to 3 years.

How would you like to make the transition into parenthood a little easier and more enjoyable for you or your friends who are expecting?  I am a Certified Pre & Perinatal Massage Therapist, trained birth doula with DONA / labor assistant with toLabor (formerly ALACE), hypno doula with HypnoBabies Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with Loving Touch Foundation and Childbirth Educator in training with International Birth and Wellness Project (formerly ALACE).  Having a doula/labor assistant as part of your birth team doesn’t guarantee you the birth of your dreams, however, research has shown doulas make a difference

Choose a massage therapist who is also a birth doula and Certified Infant Massage Instructor.  Birth Transforms...  Call me, Kate Katahdin at (919) 598-9619 today.  I’d like to be part of your family’s transformation, whether you’re becoming a parent for the first time or all over again. Doula/Labor Assistant Testimonials

Kate was beyond helpful & supportive to my husband and I during our labor.  She used her techniques in massage to help me relax and stay focused.  She was helpful in instructing my husband to help me with different positions during labor, and other pain management techniques.  She remained completely calm throughout an especially long labor – day.  She let the nurses, doctor and midwife do their job without unnecessarily intervening.  She reminded me of my birth plan, and helped me speak up for myself.  I will recommend hiring Kate to other women who wish to use a doula.

The effects of trauma, stress and/or emotional discomfort create dysfunction in our musculoskeletal system whether it's from our own births, a previous negative childbirth experience or from a traumatic life experience. Stay tuned Neuro-Affective Touch is coming early May!!
